EBA was established in 1994 as a legal successor of Rašelinové závody, the former state-owned company. EBA builds on some forty-year production tradition and improves further fields of services and production.

EBA is the company engaged in the provision of ecology services. The core programme of the company comprises the decontamination of soil, water and other materials that have been polluted above all by oil hydrocarbons, as well as the decontamination and liquidation of hazardous wastes, sanitization of devastated areas and comprehensive solutions for protection and creation of the natural environment. Furthermore, EBA also covers the production of biological fertilizers and substrates and revitalization of soils for agriculture mass production.

The company's operations cover the whole of Slovakia via its 8 branch plants, which are equipped with certified decontamination areas, possess the relevant expert and technical capacities and the company's own special technologies, the most relevant of which is the patent protected technology for biological degradation of oil hydrocarbons under the commercial name of ROPSTOP.

Employing a wide range of activities reflecting the current requirements for the protection of environment in its ecology-oriented program, EBA is one of the first members of the Industrial Ecology Association in Slovakia. Approach and contribution of EBA, s.r.o. to the protection of environment concentrate at safe eliminating of harmful characteristics of wastes while employing energy-saving technologies, materials and applications respecting the most demanding ecology criteria.

Approving and controlling state administration bodies perform in-depth monitoring of EBA ecology activities that are being executed on the basis of applicable permits and decisions.

The company holds several awards and certificates. The company's quality guarantee is also supported by implementation of the ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 standards. The company has held certificates for the stated standards since 2004.
